The Division of Analytical Chemistry has announced the 2023 competition for the awarding of the Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awarded to a scholar who has contributed to the development and dissemination of the culture of Analytical Chemistry.
The Division of Analytical Chemistry, the Division of Environmental Chemistry and Cultural Heritage and the Interdivisional Group of Science of Separations of the Italian Chemical Society have announced the competition 2023 for the Arnaldo Liberti Medal, with which they intend to confer a solemn recognition to scholars who have distinguished themselves internationally for their research activity in the cultural fields of the Division of Analytical Chemistry, of the Division of Environmental Chemistry and Cultural Heritage and of the Interdivisional Group of Science of Separations.
In addition, the 2023 competition for the Medal in memory of Giovanni Canneri, annually awarded to an Italian or foreign scholar who has distinguished herself/himself for research in the field of Analytical Chemistry, has been announced.
Two competitions for young people have also been announced: the Young Researcher Award, to be awarded to a young researcher who has shown particular aptitude and interest in studies and research activities in the field of Analytical Chemistry, and the Degree Award, aimed at rewarding a five-year, master's or specialist degree thesis discussed during the calendar year 2022 and carried out in the field of Analytical Chemistry. In addition, two awards are announced for the year 2023 called Silvio Sammartano Prize: Best PhD thesis, funded in memory by the newly established "Silvio Sammartano Foundation"; the prizes will be awarded to young PhDs, enrolled in the Italian Chemical Society for the year 2023 and authors of a doctoral thesis on topics of Analytical Chemistry.
The awarding of the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Canneri Medal, the Young Researcher Award, the Degree Award and the Silvio Sammartano Prizewill be presented during the Division of Analytical Chemistry's Ordinary Assembly on Monday, September 18, 2023.
The deadline for submitting applications is 21 May 2023.

Poster & Oral Awards
During the XXX Conference of the Analytical Chemistry Division, 9 'Best Poster' and 3 'Best Oral Presentation' will be awarded; in detail two 'Best Oral Presentation’ awards are sponsored by ‘Edises edizioni’ and one by ‘Analytical & Bioanalytical Chemistry’.
